Micellar cleansing water is very simply put – a facial cleanser. However, it’s not that simple when you get down to the details. It is gentler on the skin than your regular skin cleanser, so it can be left on the skin. That, my friends, is the high point of micellar cleansing water.
Yes, it’s actually a big deal to leave your cleanser on your face (who does that?!) With Micellar, you can actually do it without repercussions; you could benefit from extra hydration without irritation or dryness. That is because of the water-loving (humectants) usually included in the formula. Humectants in cosmetics help draw water from the atmosphere into the skin. Unlike other regular cleansers that may strip off more from the skin than required.
The other major deal with micellar waters is that the cleansing ingredient in it is designed to be very gentle on all skin types, especially because of its low concentration. There are several light-weight but effective cleansing agents that could really make your formula special.
HOW TO USE A MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
Light Cleansing – it’s good if your face isn’t so dirty. It wouldn’t remove very heavy makeup. If you wash your face before going to bed at night, then you can use micellar water in your morning cleansing routine. No unnecessary stripping there.
For Extra Hydration – If you have dry, dehydrated skin, use micellar water. On one hand, the gentle action won’t add another wreck to your already thirsty situation. On the other hand, it will leave behind some seriously good moisture.
What’s in a name? The third point isn’t entirely ‘scientific’ in a lab sense, however, there is something romantic about micellar waters, I’m not sure if it has to do with the name or the fact that it originated from France or both. However, the combination of both words seems to imply that you are using something as natural as water…! What can be friendlier and more loving than hydration from good ol’ water?

With Micellar waters, there is room enough to get creative. If you were to make yours, what will you substitute? Seaweed extract, Hyaluronic acid, let’s know in the comment section.
